Copenhagen – Intro
City #14, July 2014. In Copenhagen even the cemeteries are nice and welcoming. Especially Assistens, where Kirkegaard and Hans Christian Andersen are buried, is a place where people come to sit and relax, including bikini-clad girls on the weekend I was there. But everyone is quiet and civilized: they’re Danes after all. Always high on many top 10 lists of the Nicest Cities in the World, which is understandable (although it should be on the Top 10 list of most expensive places too).
Type of Youropeans? Well, they’re Danes first, and Scandinavians second: the links to their neighbours Norway and Sweden are very strong, and the main reason for the decision to keep the Krone.
