Europeans talk about their job, their country and Europe. Dutch writer Mark Schalekamp visits every EU capital to interview a doctor, policeman, hairdresser, entrepreneur, artist, immigrant, prostitute and ‘local celebrity’, revealing Europe’s beautiful diversity as well as some surprising similarities. City by city they share their stories – stories that inspire and inform – and if you like you can share your own story. Youropeans is for anybody who feels at home in Europe.
Youropeans is a private initiative, born out of Mark’s interest in his European neighbours, near or far, who now all belong to the same club. The portraits serve as working material for the book Dit is Europa that is published in Dutch in Spring 2016, and available in English since May 2016.
